Browser History

Page history last edited by John Pearce 14 years, 4 months ago

You can check on the sites that your child is visiting by monitoring the Browser History.

Be careful to communicate with your children what you are doing when viewing the browser history least you break bonds of trust. Note also that the Browser History can also be easily cleaned out.

If you are using Internet Explorer 8 then you need to go to the drop down arrow head next to the navigation arrows in the top right of the screen. The most recent tabs will show along with a link to open the full history. Alternatively you can use the Ctrl+Shift+H keyboard shortcut.

If you are using Internet Explorer 7 then you can acces the History pane by clicking on the orange star icon at the left of the screen. This will open up a window listing each of the sites visited similar to the one below. Clicking on any of these links will open the page.

If you are using Firefox then the History link is at the top of the browser screen.

The Firefox history pane will look something like this.
